Damaged rubber around Mid-Chassis of HTC Wildfire ?

The mid chassis is the black frame which primarily holds both the glass/digitizer and LCD. The Mid Chassis is frequently damaged when removing the Glass/Digitizer during a DIY repair. The proximity sensor, ear speaker, and home button assembly are also mounted on this frame but are not included with this item.
